Blue Valley Community Action (BVCA) Partnership
Founded in 1966, Blue Valley Community Action (BVCA) Partnership serves
families and communities in southeast Nebraska and north central Kansas. BVCA
Partnership operates over 30 programs that interact and complement each other. Programs
are as diverse as the communities and families served. Some provide individuals
with emergency assistance; others develop long-term, community-based strategies
to prevent poverty.

Database, and many other links to internet resources about the community
are available on the web.

New residents of York County have 30 days after establishing residency to purchase license plates and register their vehicles in York County without penalty. If you frequently travel, your car should be registered in the county in which it is most often located. In York County, license plates must be renewed every year during the month in which the vehicle was purchased. For motor vehicle titles, taxes, and licenses, call 402.362.4929.
Getting Your Nebraska Driver License – 402.362.3471
New residents to Nebraska have 30 days to obtain a new driver’s license
upon moving to the state. The Department of Motor Vehicles sends
renewal notices to all individuals 90 days prior to the expiration of their
current operator’s license, commercial driver’s license or
state identification card. Nebraskans have 90 days prior to their
birthday to renew their licenses.
To apply for your Nebraska driver license, you'll need to visit one of the state's examining locations. To prove your identity, you'll need to bring documents to verify your Social Security number, legal name, and birth date. If you don't have a current driver license, you'll need to complete a vision screening, written exam, and drive test. If you're surrendering a valid out-of-state license, you'll just need to complete the vision screening. The office is open 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. every Thursday and Friday in the York County Courthouse.
