York County has so many beautiful outdoor spaces where residents can go for a walk, ride their bike, have a picnic or throw the ball around with their kids. #1 You can prevent disease

According to research coming out of Harvard, spending time outdoors will increase your vitamin D levels. By doing so regularly, you could lower your risk of developing cancer, osteoporosis, and having a stroke.

#2 Your mood will improve

Spending time in the natural sunlight is a significant mood booster. Even taking a walk at lunch can do a lot to improve your mood and give you more energy.

#3 This is a fun way to exercise

If spending time at the gym does not sound very exciting, aim for an outdoor workout instead. Going for a run, playing ball, swimming, and hiking can all be excellent forms of exercise and a lot of fun at the same time.
