On April 3, 2020, the City Council of York has approved a COVID19 Plan utilizing the Economic Development Block Grant Economic Development Loan Funds for Business Assistance. These funds can be used for working capital by small businesses struggling through this time. The Southeast Nebraska Development District and YCDC worked with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development to streamline the application and approval process while meeting the federal requirements. Click here for the APPLICATION/GUIDELINES approved by the York City Council. Businesses are required to have a DUNs number and SAMS registration. The application deadline is Friday, May 1, and the council will take action on the applications on May 7.
