Lisa Hurley, a Certified Economic Developer with enough passion to get people excited about development, and the driving force behind York County Development Corporation (YCDC). Since taking the helm as Executive Director of the York County Development Corporation (YCDC) in May 2013, Lisa's been on a quest to make a long-term positive impact on York County.

Lisa wears so many hats at YCDC, that she could open Hurley's Hat Shop. She leads staff efforts, BR&E programs, is the mastermind behind marketing campaigns, housing projects, and workforce development. Lisa is the Swiss Army knife of economic development, and she is a rural economic developer who believes rural is cool!

But Lisa's impact extends far beyond YCDC. As the 1st Vice President of the National Rural Economic Development Association,  Nebraska Economic Developers Association board member, and an Executive Committee member of the Southeast Nebraska Economic Development District she's a respected leader in her field. Plus, she's actively involved in various local boards and advisory committees, from the York Chamber of Commerce to the York Rotary Club.

Under Lisa's guidance, YCDC has flourished into a beacon of innovation and collaboration. She's rallied her team and community partners to tackle talent development, retail enhancement, childcare support, and housing accessibility. Since 2018, Lisa has led the effort to raise over $2 million for a local housing revolving loan fund. Lisa firmly believes in the power of teamwork and forward-thinking strategies to shape York County's bright future.

And the results? They're nothing short of spectacular. With over $450 million in investments and a plethora of business triumphs, YCDC has snagged three prestigious International Economic Development Council awards in marketing and talent projects. Lisa recently joined forces with the City of York to secure the next industrial park, which is now being meticulously planned for future development.
