Manufacturing Technician Level 1 Course Offered after Collaboration effort

Southeast Community College, several regional manufacturers along with York County Development Corporation, Seward County Chamber & Economic & Development Corporation, Fillmore County Development Corporation and Thayer County Development Corporation have been working over the last year to roll out an entry level Manufacturing Technician course to be taught at the SCC York & Hebron Regional Learning Centers.
The Manufacturing Technician Level 1 course was developed to meet the booming employment demands of the manufacturing industry and can enhance your ability to begin a great career in advanced manufacturing. By completing this training program, you will be prepared for entry-level positions with regional manufacturers making competitive wages, benefits and with opportunities for additional training and advancement.
Upon successful completion of the Manufacturing Technican Level 1 course, individuals will be guaranteed an interview with several regional manufacturing companies.
The Manufacturing Technician Level I course is approved by the York/Seward/Thayer Manufacturing Collaborative and is now eligible for GAP Tuition Assistance. Individuals may be eligible for other funding resources. Contact your SCC Learning Center for more information.

Registration deadline for the first course is February 15th. This five-week course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-9:30PM.
