Field Service Technician

Cyclonaire Corporation is an internationally recognized leader in the engineering, manufacturing, and distribution of capital equipment used in the conveyance of dry bulk materials. In view of our growth over the last several years and the forecast of continued growth, we are actively seeking a Field Service Technician who will work out of our corporate headquarters in York, NE (York preferred, remote candidates may also be considered).

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a 2-year technical degree focusing on electrical/ electronics mechanical study or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in field service in the capital equipment industry. Process knowledge in pneumatic conveying equipment is a plus. Strong basic knowledge of PLCs required. Must possess good interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational skills, and have computer related ability.

This position will require travel predominantly in the US, however, may require travel to Canada, Mexico, Europe and China. Must be able to travel 70-80% of the time and be available as needed for customer support via phone. Sales Application Engineer

Responsible for engineering and selection of existing products and related equipment, to assist sales department personnel in proposal preparation. Also helps in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. Responsibilities include providing equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force, and acting as technical liaison to the sales team. Familiar with a variety of material handling concepts, practices, and procedures a plus. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of complex tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Competence in Microsoft products, especially in designing and manipulating data in spreadsheets a must. May require a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in this field or in a closely related area. Reports to the Director of Sales.

Here are key responsibilities for this position:

You’ll utilize technical, sales and management talents to grow an existing region, working to support sales representatives as well as provide direct sales and service to specific customers.

  • Work internally to prepare proposals/sales contracts, coordinate w/the team and serve as a liaison ensuring projects, communications and solutions happen in a timely manner
  • Assist with promotions/marketing; participate in association events/meetings, trade shows, etc. to develop and support sales
  • Manage a budget, paperwork and processes to achieve exciting goals.

You’ll be based in York, NE; will travel within your region to manage and support the sales representatives with a focus to reach desired sales targets. You may spend 15-25% in the field. You may be asked to travel internationally.
