Students, save the date for Career Day

14 Mar 2016

Choosing a career can be overwhelming. Many high school students don’t know where to start. That’s why YCDC’s annual Career Day has become so popular. Last year, 150 students from 10 area high schools attended.

This year, Career Day takes place on March 22 at Holthus Convention Center in York. Students can attend business panels about the jobs available now, and hear about anticipated regional jobs for the future. There will be career panels from a number of different industries, including: Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources, Communications and Information Systems, Skilled & Technical Sciences, Health Services, Human Services & Education, Business, Marketing & Management.

This year, a Parent/Student component has been added.  After school, parents and students can attend to visit with businesses or colleges about future opportunities.  The event is open until 7:00.

Area colleges and over 60 businesses will be attending. Students will have a chance to talk with area employers and participate in mock-interviews. Find out more about this important annual event.
