Latest UNL report sees strong economic growth for Nebraska rest of the year

An economist with the University of Nebraska expects strong economic growth in the state through the remainder of the year.
The director of the Bureau of Business Research on the Lincoln campus, Eric Thompson, says the bureau’s leading economic indicator report has been trending upward.
“This is the third month out of four where it has risen quite sharply,” Thompson tells Nebraska Radio Network affiliate KLIN. “That’s very positive indicator for the Nebraska economy during the second half of the year. We should expect strong economic growth, at least in our state, in the second half of 2016.”
