Proud to be known as the Cornhusker State

23 Jan 2017

There’s a reason Nebraska is known as the “Cornhusker State.” Corn is the most widely grown crop in the state. Nebraska-grown corn has many uses. It can feed livestock as well as produce ethanol, distillers’ grains and bioplastics. The state is also the #1 producer of popcorn in the U.S.

Three major corn seed companies have production facilities in York County, Nebraska and are conducting innovative research and development too. This is not by accident. York County is a draw because we have outstanding soil and some of the best irrigation in the state.  Dow AgroSciences, DuPont Pioneer and Monsanto all call York County home.

York County has a number of additional competitive advantages for agribusiness, such as a strong workforce with a great work ethic, a central location and incentives. Find out more: http://ow.ly/iPKj303WXCH
