York Cold Storage was originally started to support the egg industry back in 1946. Back then the company’s main purpose was food preservation. This makes 2016 the 70 year of operating in York.
The facility in York, Nebraska has expanded to include over 750,000 square feet of refrigerated space (3,000,000 cubic feet) and features a seventeen-truck platform, processing and quick freezing facilities, and the capability to process and pack poultry, pork and beef. York Cold Storage employs 70 people and is invested in $3 million expansion and remodel, which will necessitate hiring additional employees.
According to the general manager, a centralized location for sourcing products and shipping, hard working employees and a business friendly environment have all contributed to the company’s success. Find out more about this longtime York-area company. http://ow.ly/buKC303XCTa
