Bridging the skills gap

A recent survey of 500 CEOs by Adecco found that 92 percent of executives think American workers aren't as skilled as they need to be. Thankfully, this "skills gap" is a problem that can be remedied.

One method to mitigate the skills gap is to develop existing talent by expanding educational programs with new degree, certificate, diploma and apprenticeship programs. The new York Regional Learning Center Campus at Southeast Community College represents a perfect opportunity to bring the area's educational options in line with the skills in demand by area employers.
