Windstream brings ultra-fast Gig internet service to York

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Windstream (NASDAQ: WIN), a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions, today announced it is upgrading its network to deliver ultra-fast 1-Gigabit internet service in York.
The upgrade, which represents an investment of about $1 million, involves building fiber optic connections to about 3,400 households in York. Windstream is currently finalizing the engineering design work and anticipates construction will begin during the second quarter of 2018 with completion expected later in the year.

With 1-Gig internet service, residential customers can access music, TV shows and HD movies in just seconds. Small businesses can make large file transfers, process numerous transactions and backup to the cloud at blazing-fast speeds.
Windstream's Kinetic Gig service also is available in Lincoln and Hastings.
Kinetic Internet, which offers speeds of 25–100 megabits per second (Mbps) or higher, also is available in York. To inquire about Kinetic Internet service, residential customers may call (866) 819-1225, and small and medium-sized businesses may call (877) 442-9462.
