Responsibilities

Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems Frequently engage with customers in a friendly manner. Write customer food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Check customer identification to ensure that they meet the minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Maintain knowledge of the menu and restaurant items, with the ability to make suggestions. Prepare customer checks and collect payment from tables. Responsible for cleanliness of work area including wait staff station and dining room area. Conduct opening and/or closing procedures as needed. All other duties as assigned.
