Job Description Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines have been used to save aircrafts and over 2,500 lives. Leading inspector technicians, ensuring product is flowing. Being responsible for strategic workflow, meeting KPI’s for quality, and managing assets.
Responsibilities
Drive and initiate Relentless Root Cause Analysis for quality issues to improve throughput and customer satisfaction. Professionally develop self and others, training inspection specialists and technicians. Utilize ZDP methodology for determination of efficient inspection methods. Communicate cross functionally to ensure continuation of operations. Develop inspection plans and balance workloads in support of business objectives. Drive data-driven continuous improvement via CORE operating system. Asset management (manage inventory of gages and inspection equipment). Manage and ensure product is flowing and not staying on quality hold.
Qualifications
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
