Responsibilities

Klute Inc. is a family owned company that has continued to grow and prosper since its commencement in 1961. Klute, Inc. is currently looking for a Quality Assurance/Safety Manager to join our growing team. 

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION Oversees and directs the welding and fabrication department to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality. Responsible for meeting customer specifications and production targets while maintaining high quality standards. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safety: Prioritize and maintain a safe work environment for all employees, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and address equipment or process hazards promptly. Provide comprehensive safety training to employees and foster a strong safety culture within the department. Collaborate with HR and safety departments to implement and enforce safety initiatives. 

Quality: Oversee all welding and fabrication processes to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards. Train and develop employees to perform their roles efficiently and accurately. Conduct thorough product inspections to verify adherence to project drawings and specifications. Maintain optimal equipment performance to support high-quality production. 

Operations: Optimize production schedules and workflows to meet customer deadlines while maximizing efficiency. Leverage welding department expertise to improve production methods and processes. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality and operational excellence. Provide leadership and guidance to the welding team to achieve production goals. 

Teamwork and Leadership: Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Provide clear direction and performance feedback to employees. Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly and fairly. Work closely with the production manager and other departments to achieve overall company objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
