McCool Early Learners is seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Director to oversee daily operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, and provide high-quality early childhood education and care for 24 children. The Daycare Director will lead a team of educators, maintain compliance with state regulations, and foster a positive atmosphere for children, parents, and staff. This is a full-time position from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the flexibility to cover staff shifts when necessary.

Position Details:

  • Location: McCool Early Learners LLC – McCool Junction, NE
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (unless covering staff shifts)

Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience, with potential for bonuses based on performance and enrollment growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Management:
  • Manage daily operations, including scheduling, staff supervision, and classroom support.
  • Ensure the center is fully staffed and provide coverage for staff members as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate daycare staff members.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  1. Child Care & Education:
  • Oversee the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Ensure children's safety, well-being, and positive engagement in a nurturing environment.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding child progress, center updates, and any concerns.
  1. Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure the daycare complies with all state licensing requirements and health/safety regulations.
  • Manage record-keeping for children’s attendance, health reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness plans.
  1. Parent Communication & Community Relations:
  • Serve as the primary contact for parent inquiries and concerns.
  • Foster a positive relationship with parents and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with local organizations to enhance program offerings and community outreach.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Associate’s or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a childcare setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Other:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of state regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
