Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: 

Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements. 

Manage projects from Customer PO to delivery. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. 

Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. 

Work with Purchasing to procure materials. 

Coordinate and manage timelines and deliverables. 

Work directly with the customer in the planning, procurement and estimation of their project. 

Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. 

Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. 

Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. 

Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 

Maintains bid data base by entering and backing up data. 

Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price. 

Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information. 

Maintains quality service by following organization standards. 

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

SKILLS: 

Knowledge in Autodesk Products/SDS2/Inventor 

Microsoft Excel, Access and Word

Read and interpret structural steel blueprints. 

Communication and organizational skills
