Library Assistant (Grant funded) - Kilgore Memorial Library
Are you a passionate, dedicated person who enjoys learning, teaching, and working with people with a variety of ages, abilities, and skills?
Kilgore Memorial Library is looking for you!
The library has partnered with the York County Diversion Office, and the developmental disabilities services agencies in York.
This partnership was created in support of an American Library Association grant that the library received.
This grant allows us to hire a part-time coordinator (~10 hours/week) to work with clients of our partner agencies in the new makerspace being developed by the library.
Grant funding expires March 30, 2025. This grant is renewable for one more year.

Responsibilities
Design and develop makerspace environment.
Create and lead youth focused programs on mentoring, entrepreneurship, creating, and leadership skills.
Assist youth in mentoring disabled community members.
Qualifications
Who should apply?
College students, possibly an internship, working professionals, or experienced educators.
Must be 18 years of age.
Ability to demonstrate a background in developing programming, and passion for helping others develop interest in building relationships through working together.
