Responsibilities
This is a part time position with the option for full time work when combined with another posted HIM position. NATURE OF WORK: Transcribes medical reports for patient records or provides word processing services to the Medical Staff and hospital personnel.
Qualifications
Ability to type 60 words per minute with accuracy, knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of rules for grammar and punctuation, ability to assist originators and use proper telephone etiquette, ability for operating word processing/transcribing equipment, good spelling ability, experience in a word processing center or hospital medical transcription area is preferred.
