Water Assistant Data
Responsibilities
Coordinate large-scale mailings Make use of a custom software application for spatial and tabular data management Regularly maintain data records for certified acres and ground water withdrawal reports Work with the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources to update registered well records Assist the public with certifying irrigated acres and reporting of ground water withdrawals Coordinate with District County Assessors to update tract records Other duties as assigned by the water department manager or water data specialist
Qualifications
Associate of Science degree with applicable experience in natural resources, agriculture, agri-business, database management, or environmental sciences Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are a must Skill in reviewing, proofing, and verifying data Ability to work well and communicate effectively with people Capable of working independently and taking responsibility for results Use sound judgement in difficult situations to facilitate conflict resolution Experience in land records management desirable, but not required Microsoft SQL experience desirable but not required
