Responsibilities
PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION Responsible for designing, debugging, maintaining, and improving and troubleshooting in house developed automation software and tools by compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance. Will work closely with other programmers to share load and coordinate tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with office and production to enhance workflow through proprietary programs and interfacing with commercial software systems. Work with other developers and as sole developer on projects both large and small to simplify complex tasks with software automation. Ensure accuracy and program stability through robust programming. Document and explain software functions and behavior to handoff training and troubleshooting to end users, in house support and MSP providers.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Position requires an organized/detail-oriented person with critical thinking skills. Work both in independently and in a team-oriented environment. Effective communication skills for interfacing with various staff roles. Effective documentation and technical writing skills to outline and describe developed software behavior and decisions. Flow charting / call diagramming a plus. Experience with distributed source code management systems (e.g., fit/mercurial) and development collaboration systems preferred. Fluent in Microsoft Office and Outlook. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate. College training is preferred. Experience: 3+ years Software Development, or relevant degree completion 2+ years C# programming preferred Other Qualifications and Requirements Excellent multitasking skills, project management, and task organization needed. Ability to read structural and manufacturing blueprints preferred. Candidates with prior experience in drafting, steel fabrication or interpretation of erection detail drawings will be strongly considered. 3D modeling software experience preferred. Tekla API experience a plus. Previous experience with using commercial software Apls a plus. Work within Salesforce a plus. Prior configuring in Salesforce will be strongly considered.
