Qualifications

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION Operate the Press Brake in an accurate and timely manner while producing quality product. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Enter the necessary data into the Press Brake computer to operate the machine accurately. Adjust and correct machine set-ups to eliminate product defects. Ensure the correct raw material is supplied before starting a production run. Set up, understand and proficiently operate all press controls. Ensure all safety guards and procedures are in place prior to operating the Press Brake. Demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors as required by Klute Inc. safety policies and procedures. High awareness for safety at all times is required. Complete the required reports and record the appropriate data with accuracy. Ensure a high standard product by inspecting all produced work for quality. Read and decipher blue prints and flat sheets without assistance. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Ensure material matches traveler paperwork. High accuracy in work, attention to detail Ability to work with large high volume manufacturing equipment Forklift Drivers Permit Ability to operate overhead cranes to load/unload conveyors PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standing and/or walking 100% Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over Requires repetitive movement Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls Ability to view computer monitor Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding Experience Press Brake Operator experience a plus Technical Skills Performs set up and routine maintenance on the Press Brake and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
