Qualifications

External candidates will receive a sign-on bonus of $2,000. Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines save lives, over 2,600 lives. Furnace Operator will clean, assemble and bond blocks in a fluidized bed bonding furnace. Will also learn to run the Surface Grinder for fixtures. Primary Responsibilities: Operate and maintain all heat treat equipment to meet process requirements Read and interpret process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions. Dimensionally inspect parts to print specification and other requirements. Report non-conforming material via established process. Perform hardness inspections as required per process prints Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.) Maintains work area to 5S requirements (see physical requirements) Completes required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities at required intervals Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage (see physical requirements) Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues, and improvement opportunities (QCPC turn backs) Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals Obtain and maintain required inspection certification(s) Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned Qualifications / Experience Needed: HS Diploma or equivalent or in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required. U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 Preferred Qualifications: Experience with basic hand tools Experience with computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, mathematical calculations, including adding and subtracting decimals internet, and other job-specific applications). Experience with geometric tolerances Experience with reading sketches.
