We're a family-owned steel fabricator based just outside of York, NE. We specialize in substation and transmission line projects. We are a team and we celebrate our team. PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION Responsible for moving, sorting, and staging steel parts to and from machines and welders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently in a production environment including: Handle a large variety of material lengths, shapes and sizes both before and after welding. Operate a forklift in close proximity with other forklifts and pedestrians. Stack materials in a stable, safe, and efficient way. Coordinate with Production Management on material priorities and organization. Communicate with welders and machine operators on material needs. Attention to detail to ensure parts are organized and staged as needed. Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
