Qualifications

Our Collins Aerospace York, NE site is a manufacturer of highly engineered precision components supporting both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in generators and Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our Ram Air Turbines have been used to save aircrafts and over 2,600 lives. Success in this role will be hinged on the ability to develop proactive solutions to prevent, detect, and respond to localized compliance risks; to maintain a deep knowledge of compliance policies, processes, and industry trends. Eligible for relocation Primary Responsibilities: QMS lead / focal for the plant’s operations QMS Lead Auditor Document Control Administrator Manage Layered Process Audit System (internal production audit) Lead/Support QMS team with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Party audits of the site Maintain compliance to established procedures and policies and make updates as necessary Promote continuous improvement to improve compliance to AS9100 Communicate cross functionally to ensure continuation of operations Support tracking of records (TPM, training, FAIs) by record retention policies Qualifications / Experience Needed: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 Preferred Qualifications: Experience in using Continuous Improvement/Lean tools to make process improvements in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of industry standards (AS9100 & ISO9000) Audit experience Aerospace industry experience is preferred.
