Fairfield Inn & Suites Grand Opening Celebrates York County Momentum

What began as an announcement in the fall of 2024 has become a completed investment, a new hospitality option and another sign of continued momentum in York County.

The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites York on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 4032 S. Grand Avenue. Guests may begin touring the hotel at 10:00 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m.

The celebration offers community members an opportunity to explore the new property, meet the hotel team and recognize the partnerships that helped bring the project to life.

From Announcement to Grand Opening

When the project was announced in September 2024, Fairfield Inn & Suites represented a nearly $14 million investment in York. Plans called for a four-story, 79-room hotel with an indoor pool, fitness center and outdoor patio, along with an extension of Grand Avenue and additional public parking.

Construction began in October 2024. As the building took shape, it became a visible example of the growth occurring near York’s Interstate 80 interchange.

The completed hotel provides travelers with another nationally recognized lodging option while strengthening York’s ability to accommodate business travel, workforce recruitment, meetings, community events and tourism.

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites York offers modern guest rooms and suites, dedicated workspaces, complimentary Wi-Fi, an indoor pool, a fitness center, a business center, complimentary breakfast and on-site parking. Its location just off Interstate 80 makes it convenient for travelers while connecting guests with York’s restaurants, retailers, employers and community attractions.

An Investment With Community-Wide Impact

The hotel represents more than additional rooms for travelers. Hospitality projects create jobs, attract visitor spending and generate tax revenue that supports the broader community. They also provide important infrastructure for employers hosting job candidates, trainers, customers and business partners.

The development included the paved extension of Grand Avenue and public parking designed to serve hotel guests and visitors participating in other activities in the area. The City of York supported infrastructure improvements through tax increment financing, helping prepare the interchange district for continued development.

York County Development Corporation worked alongside the City of York, developer Kishan Chaudhari and other project partners throughout the process. That collaboration reflects the role economic development organizations play in connecting people, coordinating conversations and helping projects move from an initial idea to a completed investment.

The project also became an opportunity for regional learning. In January 2026, YCDC welcomed leaders from Seward County for a tour of the hotel while it was still under construction. Chaudhari shared insight into the project’s development, giving regional partners a firsthand look at how public and private collaboration can support a project of this scale.

The grand opening provides an opportunity to recognize the work behind the project and officially welcome Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites York to the community.

Residents, business leaders and community partners are encouraged to attend, tour the hotel and meet the team welcoming guests to York.

The celebration will take place Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites York, 4032 S. Grand Avenue. Hotel tours begin at 10:00 a.m., and the ribbon cutting begins at 11:00 a.m.
