17 County Leadership

YORK COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (YCDC)LAUNCHES LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Starting in 2021, YCDC is launching a county leadership development program. This is a NEW program that will act as a "masters" course to the LEADERSHIP YORK Program. Those who have attended LEADERSHIP YORK will be preferred over those who have not.

Participants will meet for three four-hour sessions as a group to improve their leadership skills and connect with other rising leaders in the county. Participants will also be involved in three one-on-one leadership coaching calls to evaluate their strengths in the workplace and community and complete a 360-degree leadership evaluation.

York County Development Corporation (YCDC) has partnered with Cultivate Rural Leaders to bring “17-County Leadership” to York County. Leadership is what drives communities and organizations forward.

Cultivate Rural Leaders has worked with YCDC to create this leadership development program. This program will consist of:

  • Three one-on-one coaching calls

  • Develop leadership skills through The Leadership Challenge

  • Individuals will review key components of Servant Leadership

  • Learn in a group cohort that will build relations with other leaders

This program has been created for your recently (within 1-5 years) new managers, supervisors, directors, or new staff.

  • Registration Cost: $225

    • This covers your 12 hours of programming and meals each day

  • Meeting dates: February 18, March 18, April 15

    • Meetings will be the third Thursday of each month

    • Meetings will be 4-hours each; 8 am – 12 pm

YCDC is recruiting individuals to participate in the program and businesses to sponsor employees to attend. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Derek Dauel at ddauel@yorkdevco.com or 402.362.3333.
