York County Development Corporation (YCDC) 2nd Class of 17-County Leadership Program

In 2020 & 2021, York County Development Corporation (YCDC) organized a leadership program with the help of Cultivate Rural Leaders. The program has since transitioned to being run by Dr. Shannon Leinen, Professor of York College’s Master of Arts in Organizational and Global Leadership program. This advanced professional leadership program is a separate program from Leadership York however will expand on Leadership York topics that will help managers dive into the next level of leadership development. Those who have attended a Leadership York type of program will be preferred over those who have not.

Participants will meet for three four-hour sessions as a group to improve their leadership skills and connect with other rising leaders in the county. Participants will also be involved in three one-on-one leadership coaching calls to evaluate their strengths in the workplace and community, and complete a 360-degree leadership evaluation.

York County Development Corporation (YCDC) has partnered with Dr Shannon Leinen, Professor of York College’s Master of Arts in Organizational and Global Leadership program,  to bring “17-County Leadership” to York County. 

Dr. Leinen has worked with YCDC to implement this leadership development program. This program will consist of:

  • Three one-on-one coaching calls

  • Develop leadership skills through The Leadership Challenge

  • Individuals will review key components of Servant Leadership

  • Learn in a group cohort that will build relations with other leaders

This program has been created for your recently (within 1-5 years) new managers, supervisors, directors, or new staff.

  • Registration Cost: $225

    • This covers your 12 hours of programming and meals each day

  • Meeting dates: August 18, September 15, October 20

    • Meetings will be the third Thursday of each month

    • Meetings will be 4-hours each; 8 am – 12 pm
