Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the York Country Club bar, ensuring exceptional service and a positive guest experience.
- Recruit, train, mentor, schedule, and oversee a team of bartenders and servers, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality.
- Develop staff schedules that support efficient operations and high service standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering processes, and vendor relationships to maintain appropriate stock and minimize waste.
- Oversee bar costs, including beverage inventory controls and cost management initiatives to support profitability.
- Create and implement drink specials, seasonal offerings, and promotional ideas that enhance member engagement and showcase creativity.
- Collaborate with club leadership to develop new menu concepts and elevate the overall beverage experience.
- Support club events, tournaments, weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special functions by ensuring seamless bar service.
- Build strong relationships with members and guests by delivering friendly, attentive, and consistent hospitality.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol service regulations, safety standards, and club policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bar management, restaurant management, or a hospitality leadership role preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
- Knowledge of beverage inventory management, ordering processes, and cost controls.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Creative mindset with an interest in developing specials, promotions, and innovative beverage offerings.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and applicable regulations.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
