Department: Economic Development
I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team at York County Development Corporation (YCDC), an organization whose mission and impact deeply align with my personal and professional values. YCDC's forward-thinking approach to economic development and its genuine investment in community partnerships drew me in immediately. I’ve always believed that economic development is most successful when it’s rooted in collaboration, and YCDC is a shining example of what that can look like.
Why YCDC?
What truly sets YCDC apart for me is its holistic approach—supporting not just businesses, but the people and communities behind them. The opportunity to help connect resources, enhance workforce development, and contribute to a thriving, resilient local economy is one I’m both grateful for and energized by. I see this role as a platform to elevate the work already being done in York County, while helping to build new bridges for future growth.
My Commitment to York County
Though I’m new to this position, my heart is already rooted in the people, values, and opportunities that make York County special. I’m committed to fostering inclusive growth, engaging with stakeholders across sectors, and ensuring that every voice in the county feels heard and represented. Whether it’s supporting local entrepreneurs or helping young professionals find their path, I’m here to be an active, intentional part of York’s continued progress.
My Professional Experiences
My career has always been rooted in community—uplifting people, telling their stories, and helping small businesses thrive. I got my start working for an ad agency in Colorado, covering areas like Boulder, Lafayette, and Frederick as the on-staff photographer and marketing consultant. I partnered closely with local businesses to craft creative, community-driven marketing strategies that reflected their values and strengthened their local presence.
After relocating to York, Nebraska, I brought that same passion for storytelling and connection to our local newspaper, where I supported and promoted businesses, events, and the people behind them. That experience inspired me to launch The Photo Experience, a photography business based here in York. At its heart, the business specializes in photo restoration—preserving cherished memories and giving old or damaged photos new life. I also offer creative portraiture, business branding photography, and more, always with a focus on meaningful, personal service. You can explore more at thephotoexp.com.
These experiences—combined with my background in workforce development and nonprofit leadership—have shaped a well-rounded, people-first approach that I’m excited to bring to my work with YCDC.
