Colorado artist begins work on downtown mural
September 24, 2024
Tuesday morning, Mike McPuff, an artist from Fort Collins, Colorado, pulled up to the North Printing and Office Supply building – armed with a ton of spray paint and a vision. His task at hand is creating a colorful mural on the east side of the building, one the community can be proud of.
This project is part of the new York Creative Arts District program. A local committee reached out to McPuff about creating this mural and approved the concept. Tony North, owner of the building, offered his property as the blank canvas.
McPuff grew up around tons of cartoons and colorful imagery. He started making “a ton of art” in 2013 and started pursuing art full time in 2017. He has since created more than 35 murals.
