Responsibilities

SUMMARY

As an Innovative Tech Lead at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for R&D and implementation of new, innovative technologies. You will also be responsible for overseeing the Service Technician Team and assigning their daily jobs and responsibilities. You will be required to effectively manage schedules between all CVA Regions. You will be required to work as an individual or in a team setting. You will need to work collaboratively between Agronomy Sales and Operations.

Experienced in all facets of strategy, solution design, product development and business growth through innovation, she/he is a seasoned leader who has cultivated teams across multiple industry disciplines and managed teams in large international companies. This Innovation lead is responsible for defining and fostering a culture of new technology across the overall company that fosters and attracts successful innovators and adopters. Excellent interpersonal skills that drive unified strategies and products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and Development of new ag tech opportunities
CVA Elite Autonomy – Including, but not limited to:
Raven Autonomy
John Deere Opportunities
Drone Spraying
Sensor Technology
Future Technology
Promotion and Marketing of CVA Elite Autonomy
CVA Internal training and education
Grower meetings, training, and education
Sales, Installation, and Support of CVA Elite Autonomy products, as well as assist ACS Equipment Technicians with Sales, Installation, and Support of existing ACS Equipment lines, including Precision Planting, Ag Leader, and 360 Yield Center.
Achieve personal and CVA FSA sales and growth goals (to be established)
Represent CVA/ACS though industry meetings, training, presentations, promotion.
Supervise and direct ACS Equipment Technicians
Supervise and direct ACS Elite Network Partners. Provide necessary support and guidance for ENP Network.
Establishes and maintains standards for service calls and customer interactions.
Performs reviews annually or more often as needed with other Service Technicians and ACS Manager to maintain quality of program.
Oversees maintenance, sales, and enforcement of service contracts.
Develops and/or maintains standard forms for purchase, installation, sales, quotes and inventory.
Schedules and sets up field days and equipment demos.
Promotes and supports the ACS technology trailer.
Leads training classes and demonstrations with Central Valley Ag employees and customers.
Agronomic experience and knowledge will be key to successfully promoting and sales of on farm technologies. Minimum of 2 years of agronomy experience is required.
Promote and adhere to CVA Credit policies
Promote and adhere to CVA Safety culture
Develops annual budget for Service Technician Department for tools, facilities, vehicles, etc.
Manage Cap Ex and future purchases.
Work with Venture Capital companies, develop relationships, and explore opportunities to partner in new technology markets.
Assist in developing the safety process around new technology and autonomous vehicles.
Assist Operations in developing manless/autonomous locations.
Builds a well-balanced innovation portfolio and roadmap that drives solutions & top line growth
Use Technology to differentiate CVA in the Market place to provide unique value to our member owners and create long lasting relationships that bring solutions.
Evangelizes innovation so the company is viewed as innovative, visionary and a market leader by customers, industry groups, etc
Within 1 year of employment, obtain a certified drone operator’s license.
Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Yes - day to day supervision of all other ACS Service Technicians on staff.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

ªKnowledge of GIS programs for data processing and equipment diagnostics.

ªAbility to effectively manage a schedule between all CVA regions.

ªMechanical ability necessary for GPS equipment install and support.

ªAbility to read and use a wiring and/or hydraulic diagram.

ªIntegrity and good judgment skills required.

ªExcellent computer skills and must be experienced MS Office Products.

ªStrong verbal and written communication skills.

ª Ability to speak effective before groups of customers or employees.

ªExperience with Precision Ag Equipment, OEM Precision Ag Equipment,

maintenance and mechanics.

ªAbility to work independently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

ªHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

ªTwo to four years’ experience in maintenance and mechanics of ag equipment

or a combination of both education and experience required.

ªTwo to four years’ experience in computers and/or electronics or a combination

of both education and experience required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license.

Certified Crop Advisor certification or ability to obtain Certified Crop Advisor certification within 2 years.

Certified Drone Operators License or ability to obtain certification within 1 year.
