Responsibilities
The City of Henderson is seeking an organized individual to assist the City Clerk in administrative duties including but not limited to answering the telephone and emails, relaying messages to department heads, accurate accounting of money including accounts receivable and accounts payable, management of project files, utility billing, record management of official documents of the city, updating city website and interacting with members of the community.
Other duties will be overseeing the Henderson Chamber promoting all Chamber events and building relationships with local business owners.
This position will work hand-in-hand with the Chamber Board to develop goals and objectives to advance the mission of the Chamber.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate would have a basic knowledge of municipal operations.
Minimum training and experience include graduation from high school or General Equivalency Degree (GED); experience performing common clerical tasks; experience working in an office environment with telephones, files, personal computers; an understanding of simple accounting; web design knowledge; ability to plan, organize and lead, delegate and monitor events; proficiency with Microsoft office and other word processing and spreadsheet operating systems, graphic design software, Quickbooks.
