As a Night Shift Maintenance Technician at Klute, you'll play a critical role in keeping our equipment, machinery, and facilities operating at their best after the day shift wraps up. Working independently during night hours, you'll take ownership of maintenance priorities, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and ensure our operations are ready for the next production day.
This role is ideal for someone who's confident working on their own, takes pride in solving problems the right way the first time, and understands how proactive maintenance keeps a shop running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Review work orders and independently determine maintenance priorities
Schedule and perform repairs, maintenance, and installations to support continuous production
Perform preventive maintenance in coordination with operations
Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment using specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematics
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment to identify issues
Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts as needed
Install or repair automated machinery and equipment
Set up and operate machine tools (lathe, grinder, drill, milling machine) to fabricate or repair parts, jigs, and fixtures
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Repair or replace defective components; lubricate and clean parts
Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and testing instruments safely and effectively
Initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records for compliance and audits
Conduct routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
Address facility maintenance issues such as leaks, malfunctions, and general wear and tear
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols at all times
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing repair.
Other Qualifications and Requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Standing and/or walking 100%
- Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Ability to view computer monitor
- Occasional alpha/numeric keyboarding
