Responsibilities

Position Overview 

As a Maintenance Technician Intern, you will work directly with our maintenance team to apply what you are learning in school to real equipment and systems. 

This hands-on opportunity will allow you to develop troubleshooting skills, learn preventative maintenance practices, and gain exposure to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in heavy fabrication. 

What You'll Gain Experience In: 

Assisting with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections 

Supporting basic mechanical and electrical repairs under supervision 

Reading blueprints, schematics, and maintenance documentation 

Learning troubleshooting techniques for industrial equipment 

Safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments 

Supporting facility and equipment improvement projects

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: 

Currently enrolled in an Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related technical program 

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn 

Strong attendance and work ethic 

Interest in a long-term career in industrial maintenance 

Physical Requirements: 

Standing and/or walking for extended periods 

Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs 

Ability to work safely in a production environment
