Production Coordinator (Manufacturing / Fabrication)

Klute is growing and looking for a Production Coordinator to help drive quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery in our steel fabrication operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical drawing review and hands-on problem solving on the shop floor.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring projects are accurate before production begins-and stay on track once they hit the floor.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and redline blueprints, cut lists, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Serve as the final checkpoint before jobs enter production
  • Interpret weld symbols and WPS requirements
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and constructability issues
  • Work directly with welders and fabricators to resolve issues in real time
  • Support production flow from planning through fabrication and delivery
  • Communicate with production, QA/QC, and management teams
  • Help maintain quality standards and on-time delivery

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1–3+ years in manufacturing, fabrication, or production

Strong blueprint reading skills

Knowledge of welding processes (GMAW) and fabrication methods preferred

Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and/or AISC standards is a plus

Experience with CAD, Excel, or production software preferred

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Comfortable working both at a desk and on the shop floor

Work Environment:

Mix of office and production floor work

Frequent standing/walking and interaction with shop employees

Hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment
