Responsibilities
Klute is growing and we are looking to add a full-time Developer/Programmer to our team. This position can be remote after initial training and requiring only onsite work when necessary. PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION Responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software by compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Structural Engineers and Detailers to enhance workflow through proprietary programs and software systems. Ensure accuracy and program stability through robust programming. Work on projects both large and small to simplify complex tasks with software automation.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Position requires an organized/detail-oriented person with critical thinking skills. Work both in independently and in a team-oriented environment. Work directly with Detailing Manager, Administrative Employees, Shop Foreman, and Production Staff. Fluent in Microsoft Office and Outlook. 3D modeling software experience preferred. Tekla experience a plus. Candidates with prior experience in drafting, steel fabrication or interpretation of erection detail drawings will be strongly considered. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate. College training is preferred. Experience: 5+ years Software Development 3+ years C# programming Other Qualifications and Requirements Ability to read structural and architectural blueprints Excellent communication skills, multitasking skills, project management and/or project coordinator experience Tekla API experience a plus. Previous experience with drafting software development a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Minimal lifting required. Requires repetitive movement Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls Ability to view computer monitor Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding Frequently required to sit
