Position Summary:
Family Life Specialists at Epworth Family Resources play a vital role in supporting children, youth, and families across Nebraska.
Responsibilities
Depending on caseload needs, responsibilities may include family support, foster care assistance, visitation, and drug screening.
Key Responsibilities: Complete intakes, documentation, and case notes in a timely manner.
Support families in-home with crisis management, goal-setting, and skill development.
Guide and teach parents in improving family and child well-being.
Advocate for families, ensuring physical, emotional, and safety needs are met.
Supervise and ensure safety during parent/child visitations.
Provide transportation for children when needed.
Connect families with community resources.
Participate in team meetings with NDHHS, Probation, and service providers.
Conduct drug screenings (oral, urine, sweat patch, breathalyzer).
Qualifications
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Early Childhood Development, or related field).
Students within two semesters of graduation may also apply.
Skills:
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills;
ability to work independently and as part of a team;
proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Requirements:
At least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license (good record, reliable transportation).
Ability to transport clients and maintain agency vehicles.
Commitment to confidentiality and family-centered practice.
