Responsibilities

What You Will Do: 

Conduct furnace readings, rounds, and oversee process flow to maintain optimal operation 

Uphold process integrity and ensure quality standards are met throughout all furnace operations 

Load, unload and monitor furnaces runs. 

Inspect parts that have been brazed. 

Understand and follow quality testing techniques. 

Learn how to read and understand prints so that inspection and alloy placement can be understood. 

Perform equipment preventative maintenance as directed and promptly report any mechanical or safety concerns to supervisors 

Follow standard operating procedures to uphold safety protocols and ensure product quality 

Utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring. 

Acquire knowledge of Collins and customer specifications, finished products, and relevant policies 

Performs other additional duties as assigned 

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm 

Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm for ~90 days.

Qualifications

Qualifications You Must Have: 

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline or a minimum of 2 years of experience. 

Qualifications We Prefer: Prior furnace monitoring experience 

Two or more years of experience within a manufacturing environment, particularly in a special process environment 

Experience with interpreting blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings 

Experience with using Solumina Experience with SAP
