Responsibilities
The Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of automated control systems at the site.
Automation technicians will work closely with multiple support groups to ensure continuous availability, continuous improvement and reliability of the automated systems.
Support groups include, but not limited to, maintenance, safety, quality, operations, regional automation engineering, IT, and others.
In addition, the automation technician will work with 3rd party system integrators to ensure delivery of capital projects at the site.
Additionally, the Automation Technician will provide initial support to Bayer IT team for troubleshooting and/or project support.
The Automation Technician will also be responsible for utilizing the SAP Maintenance Connect (or equivalent) for work order initiation, tracking, and completion.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of applicable experience Technical Training in Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechatronics
Instrumentation and Electrical Equipment, Programmable Logic Controllers, Human Machine Interface
Industrial automation
Knowledge of Regulatory Standards, especially NFPA 70
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Robotics
Technical college diploma and/or related technical certification
Experience using SAP
