Responsibilities

York County is seeking a motivated and structured professional to serve as the Youth Attendance Coordinator within the Attendance Monitoring Program (AMP). 

This position provides intervention-based case management services to youth and families experiencing chronic absenteeism. 

The Youth Attendance Coordinator supports students and families across both York County and Polk County, working directly with public and private schools, the County Attorney, community partners, and families to address attendance concerns. 

The Youth Attendance Coordinator works collaboratively with youth, families, schools, and community partners to identify barriers, implement structured intervention plans, and improve school attendance outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Education, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field. 

Case management, school-based, or behavioral intervention experience. 

Motivational interviewing or conflict resolution training. 

Knowledge of the juvenile court system. 

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel regularly between school sites in two counties. 

Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
