Industrial Maintenance Technician
Description
This position is an "On the Job Training" program designed to enhance and develop competent Electro-Mechanical skills.
This position will perform basic to moderately complex Electro-Mechanical repairs and installations under the direction of a fully qualified Maintenance Associate.
3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11 pm-7 am

Responsibilities
Diagnose and corrects mechanical and electrical failures in plant machinery and equipment
Performs routine and preventive, mechanical and electrical maintenance on all machinery
Maintains and repairs motorized equipment
Operates forklifts; transports heavy parts and equipment
Fabrication of Metal parts to include, design layout, welding and installation
Basic shop machines operation and tool and die repair
Maintenance and inventories of Electro-Mechanical spare parts and administration
Maintains work logs as required
Performs other related duties and assignments as required
Performs grounds/facilities repairs, as required
Clock in & out daily to accurately record time worked
Attend all required shift and monthly communications meetings
Actively participate in all plant safety programs
Notify Supervisor if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functions
Assist with equipment maintenance
Maintain work zones cleanliness and safety
Qualifications
High school graduate/GED
Minimum of one-year manufacturing experience preferred Individuals applying for this position should have completed or be willing to complete the core educational classes required for Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technology, as set forth by the Human Resource educational guideline and/or have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in an industrial maintenance environment
Classes should begin within 6 months of being awarded this position and continue progress towards the requirements of the Maintenance Associate 4 position
Must be able to pack all products without a history of customer complaints or quality issues
Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance
Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player
Must be able to work quickly with product and able to lift 50 pounds maximum, able to lift with assistance 51 to 100 pounds, (awkward boxes or longer product may also require a 2-person lift, even though product may not meet the weight requirements), keep products separate, and record measurements and counts accurately
Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periods
Must have good communication skills and be able to interact with people
Extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking
Potential for uncomfortable inside climate, building is not climate controlled so my have uncomfortable temps in both summer and winter months
Equipment/Tools Used: Amp probe, basic hand tools, forklift, hand power tools, O scope, OA torch, plasma cutter, soldering iron, volt meter, utility knife.
Hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes required
Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals
Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
Comply with all Cornerstone Building Brands polices and requirements
Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance appraisal
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
