Responsibilities

What You Will Do: 

Prepare parts for required plating operations 

Mask parts as required per operational sketch 

Rack parts as required for plating process 

Follow plating process per plating specification including: Chem-film (Al) and touch-up, Anodize (Al) (thin-film sulfuric), Cyanide copper strip, Passivation with citric acid, White layer removal, Bronze plating 

Use a variety of hand tools 

Read and interpret process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other informational drawings and work instructions. 

Monitor dimensional tolerances and make process adjustments as necessary 

Dimensionally inspect parts to print specification and other requirements.  

Report non-conforming material via established process. 

Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results, etc.) 

Maintains work area to 5S requirements (see physical requirements) 

Completes required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities at required intervals 

Follow proper material handling and packaging techniques to avoid damage (see physical requirements) 

Identify and report process inefficiencies, equipment issues, and improvement opportunities 

Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals 

Obtain and maintain required inspection certification(s) 

Finishes parts that meet NADCAP requirements 

Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualification We Require: 

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
